Food-Grade Stainless Steel Starch Hydrocyclone - a High-Precision Separation Solution for Cassava and Potato Starch Processing
Working Principle:
Starch milk is delivered via a starch pump from the hydrocyclone’s feed inlet into the middle cavity of the cylinder. It then flows into the inlet of the cyclone tube, entering the tube’s interior along its tangential direction. Inside the cyclone tube, the material components rotate in a spiral path, generating centrifugal force proportional to their relative density. Components with lower relative density—such as proteins and water—experience weaker centrifugal force. They follow a spiral trajectory, encounter minimal resistance near the lower cone section, and are drawn into a counter-rotating spiral vortex formed at the bottom outlet. This vortex lifts them upward and discharges them through the overflow port, achieving efficient separation of starch from non-starch components.
